About Us

Baby Proofing Montgomery was founded by Bill Brooner and his son, Bobby.

After a 30-year career as a succesful Managment Consultant in International Development, Bill followed his passion--for the past 6 years he as been known in Inspector Bill, a Licensed Home Inspector (
www.inspectorbill.net).  Cognizant of safety issues in homes, and the gifts of beautiful grandchildren, motivated the second passion--to provide the safest home environment for children's developing years.  After inspecting hundreds of homes, and installing child proofing safety devices in his own and grandchildren's homes, the real need for professionally child safety consultants and child proofers became clear.

Bobby received his B.S. in Business Administration from Duquesne University, and has followed his creative passions toward a career as a builder.  He is a carpenter and professional Handyman involved in a wide range of issues of home maintenance and repair, as well as new construction.

Both Bill and Bobby have been trained as Professional Childproofing consultants by Kim Finkbeiner, a vetern professional childproofer and trainer of the International Association for Child Safety (
www.iafcs.org).  We are members of IAFCS, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting safety awareness and injury prevention for children.  The IAFCS also works with different child safety product manufacturers to produce more effective, quality products for consumers.

Why Baby Proofing Montgomery?

We are trained to inspect your home and create a safe environment for your children.  Every house is unique and every house has different dangers often overlooked by the untrained eye.

Parents are often overwhelmed and confused by the array of safety products in stores or on the Internet, and the lack of direction and guidance in choosing the properly installed gate or latch in their home.  Metal and curved bannisters and angled walls, a multitude of cabinet, drawer and door styles, and not being aware of all hazards present in a home are just some of the factors which prompt you to look for help.

While stores offer many products, the choices are usually limited to a few manufacturers--and often include products not recommended by professional childproofers due to poor quality or ineffective operation--which can lead to disuse, misuse or injury.

We know which products work, and what doesn't work--and why.  We present to you our options and recommendations that fit best for your specific home and living situation to provide the safest envirnonment for your baby.
